Finland's education system - less work, more play

Picture
With the release of Michael Moore's controversial 'Where to Invade Next' film,Moore has shed light on Finland's new and improved education system, where Finnish teachers state that their newly updated education system is based on a model of more play and less study. Teachers assert that play gives the brain time to rest and therefore be better able to learn. And that through play, children can learn all on their own."When they are climbing trees then they will learn about trees and insects" states one teacher, who is a passionate advocate for the new system, which has seen children in Finland achieve the top 1 ranking for children in school systems internationally. A thought-provoking clip that provides an interesting alternative take on unschooling principles, applied in a school system.
